In November, 2014 I was diagnosed with stage 2 colorectal cancer. After a year of chemo treatments and two surgeries (gaining an ileostomy and losing it), I am now cancer-free!
I work as an art-based therapist in Virginia and love the work I do for people every day. I also get to go home to the two most beautiful ladies in the world: my wife and daughter.
I began art journaling as a way to cope with the diagnosis, drawing myself as an owl, thus Cancer Owl was born. When I'm not doing art type stuff and therapy, I'm running trails, cooking pizzas from scratch and making wonderful memories with my family.
