Have you ever noticed how much of our inner dialogue focuses on a negative outcome?
I’m so annoyed with my friends. They don’t understand what I’m going through.
I help everyone but feel so unappreciated.
I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.
I don't want to live with an ostomy. Everything about my life is hard.
I’m not as attractive as I used to be.
I never have enough money. I can’t afford to buy the supplies I need.
What Dr. Wayne Dyer says is true, “Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.” Once you start speaking your desired outcome, you’ll begin to see the positive impact it can have on you and those around you. To affirm is to have 100 percent belief—even in difficult times or when all evidence points to the contrary.
Here are seven affirmations you can use in your daily life.
1. For Compassion
I am sensitive to the needs of others. I know that everyone I meet is fighting a battle I know nothing about. I want peace for all.
2. For Support
I love my family and friends. I will lean others who also have an ostomy because they understand what I'm going through.
3. For Health
I am strong and well. I constantly discover new ways to improve my health. I am surrounded by people who encourage me to be healthy.
4. For Self-Love
I am at peace with all that has happened, is happening, and will happen to me. I honor my own life path. I am exactly who I need to be in this moment.
5. For Happiness
I choose to be happy and surround myself with people who look at the bright side of things. My happiness makes people around me happy too.
6. For Forgiveness
I let go of all past mistakes and keep moving forward to a better life. I know that those who forgive the most are most forgiven.
7. For Abundance
All my needs are met. I am making connections with people who provide me with ample supplies—all I have to do is ask.
Always be grateful. With gratefulness you'll attract more, whether you're seeking love, happiness, health or money. When needy, you're operating from a belief that you don't have enough. Neediness promotes scarcity of whatever you seek.
Remember to take care of your body, do fun things that rejuvenate you, and listen to the voice of your true self. With a positive attitude and daily affirmations, anything is possible!
