I know I'm not alone in saying I probably wouldn't be here today if it weren't for ostomy surgery. That was 23 years ago for me, and I'm truly grateful to be healthy and alive. So, to get this "appreciation party" started here some thoughts on why life is precious from ostomates on Instagram.
Go ahead, marvel over how far you've come.
Stop to acknowledge every wonderful thing.
Celebrate life and go out and LIVE it.
When you appreciate the little things, a totally magical thing happens... they multiply.
It's all in how you see things, and you always get the choice.
Every chance you get, express genuine gratitude all the people who've loved and supported you.
Never EVER give up.
Light up your face with a smile. You'll find that life is still worthwhile.
Appreciate the people who make life worth living.
If you look hard enough, there's always a bright side.
You've been given a second chance at life. Don’t let anything hold you back.
Many (even those you don't know) have your back through life's ups and downs.
You've been healed so you can heal others.
The importance of gratitude cannot be understated. I appreciate each of you for being my inspiration and spreading positivity into the world. You've shown me what’s possible when gratitude rules.
