Claire Webber is a professional stand-up comic and artist in Seattle, Washington. In 2016 she had ileostomy surgery because of Crohn’s disease and was also diagnosed with several other autoimmune disorders. On working as a surgical tech and phlebotomist by day and comedian by night, she said: "My therapist has a lot to say about that!" LOL
For nearly a decade, Claire has been pushing the boundaries of humor. In her latest one-woman show titled "That Nasty Body," she takes her audience through the ins and outs of living with an ostomy and chronic illness — answering many invasive questions. “My surgeon asked if a student could watch my upcoming procedure. I just want him to think my insides are pretty and propose,” she says. Hahaha.
Here are some of the funniest things Claire said about living with an ostomy on Twitter:
She's a talented and creative artist, too!
