Study: Long-Term Outcomes After Continent Ileostomy In Crohn's Disease
Patients with Crohn’s disease have a higher failure rate after ileal pouch surgery compared with their counterparts with ulcerative colitis according to a research study lead by Dr. Erman Aytac. His team concludes, "Outcomes of continent ileostomy in patients with Crohn’s disease are poor, regardless of the timing of diagnosis." Read more on www.gastrohep.com.
Cancer Patient At Bursting Point Over Colostomy Bags
Jacqui Davies of Eketahun, a rural town in the North Island of New Zealand, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2015 which resulted in colostomy surgery.
