In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls, as National Police Week. We’d like to honor ostomates worldwide who work in law enforcement.

New Study: Long-term outcomes after continent ileostomy in Crohn's disease.
Patients with Crohn’s disease have a higher failure rate after ileal pouch surgery compared with their counterparts with ulcerative colitis according to a research study lead by Dr. Erman Aytac. His team concludes, "Outcomes of continent ileostomy in patients with Crohn’s disease are poor, regardless of the timing of diagnosis." Read more on www.gastrohep.com.
