On behalf of everyone here at OC, I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for all that you do.

How can we ever thank you?

You go through some of the most difficult moments with us. You are the hand-holders and consolers when a life changing diagnosis is delivered. Thank you for your compassion and healing words when we're fighting for our lives.

You have an important position in the health care system. You are caregivers on the front lines, handling chaos and uncertainty with professionalism and grace. You are decision makers and patient advocates. Thank you for being communicators and our voice.

We know you are overworked and overwhelmed. Your job is physically exhausting and emotionally draining, yet you set aside your own struggles knowing that your presence is vital to our healing process. Thank you for always putting us first.

You run support groups, start fundraisers and participate in charity events. Caring for people isn't just a career, it's your passion to make a difference in the world. It takes a special person to be a nurse—to many, you are angels. Thank you for a life of service to humanity.

These two words of appreciation are simply not enough. The real thank you is about much more, so to show our gratitude we will pay it forward to someone else. We are going to do everything we can to make the ostomy community better in honor of you.
